A Necklace Story:
A mauve stone framed by tiny silver rings and turquoise beads hangs from a tree-bark brown cotton cord, capturing the spirit of ?the peoples of the great hill,? the Algonquin translation of Massachusetts. The Blue Hills Reservation, within view of Boston, is rich in archaeological and natural resources. The great hill?s forests, ponds and wetlands have been preserved, a tribute to the first people of this land.
